Schoony on Price is Right next week

D id Bob Schoonmaker win big on the Price is Right or did he go home with next to nothing?

The suspense will finally be over when the show airs next Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. Schoonmaker, who owns Schoony’s Country Market in North Granville, said he is excited and can’t wait for the big day.

“I’ve never seen myself on TV before—it’ll be a lot of fun,” he said.

At the end of this past summer, Schoonmaker and other members of his family participated on the show while visiting his wife’s sister in Los Angeles. After a three hour selection process, he was chosen to play on stage and eventually made it as one of two contestants in the Showcase Showdown.

“I do like the attention. It’s funny how they pick you and they can notice it. You have to have what they’re looking for—not too crazy, not too quiet,” he said in August.

He described the taping as a fun time, where he “got crazy, running up and down the aisles.”

He can’t reveal how he fared in the showcase, but those who are wondering will find out at the end of the show.

During the airing, Schoonmaker will have a party at his store on Route 22. He will give away a free slice of pizza to anyone who comes in and watches the show with him and his family, and he’s hoping for a good-sized crowd. The Price is Right will show on Channel 6.
