Winter parking ban in effect

It’s that time of year again; time to remove your cars from the street.

The Village of Whitehall’s Winter Parking Ban went into effect on Nov. 15.

The ban prohibits the parking of any vehicle on any street in the village between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. through May 1.

The ban is put into place to aid Department of Public Works employees with the removal of snow from streets. The ban, however, is not limited to snow events, but times of fair weather as well.

Whitehall Police have warned that violators will be ticketed and towed at their own expense.
