Baskets sought for fundraiser

T he Whitehall Playground Committee needs your help.

The committee is seeking donations of baskets and items for its basket party on Saturday, March 15. Anybody who would like to donate can send the items to school with their children of drop it off at the Whitehall Elementary School office.

The items will then be distributed during the committee’s basket party. The party is the latest in a string of fundraisers hosted by the committee.

Last fall, the school received a grant from Kaboom! to purchase and construct a new playground at the school. In order to receive the grant, however, the school must match the amount being provided by Kaboom! The school has already earmarked proceeds from Penny Wars and a spaghetti dinner for the cause and next Saturday’s basket party will aid those efforts.
