Dresden to host townwide sale

T he Town of Dresden will be hosting its first-ever town-wide yard sale this weekend. The inaugural yard sale will take place on Saturday and Sunday, running from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.
“This is the first one ever, so we are kind of new at organizing it,” Kathy Huntington, who helped organize the event said.
Huntington was optimistic that this inexperience could also benefit the yard sale, “Because it is the first townwide yard sale, there will be a lot of new things, fresh to the market.”
There will be approximately 15 different sales taking place, some of which combine multiple families and some of which are large estate sales, so there will be plenty for customers to choose from.
“I think it is a wonderful chance for people to see how beautiful this town is.” Huntington added, “We are right between Lake George and Lake Champlain, so there will be great views to go along with the great sales.”
For those who are hungry during the sales, Huntington suggested making the trip up route 22 to the Putnam Fire Department’s chicken barbecue, which kicks off on Saturday, at 2 p.m. at the Putnam Fire Station.
