The Eagles took advantage of a big second quarter and held on in the second half for a 63-55 win.
Jesse DeMarsh scored a game-high 23 points for Hadley-Luzerne.

Granville was led by Jacob Young’s 19 points. Bailey Pratt chipped in 10 points.

After a defensive first quarter that saw both teams held to single digit points, Hadley-Luzerne broke out for 24 second quarter points behind the outside shooting of DeMarsh and the inside presence of Mike Duell.

Granville, on the other hand, was held to 9 points as it struggled to get to the basket against the Eagles’ zone defense.

Trailing 31-18 at the half, Granville played better in the second half and pulled within 4 points with less than three minutes remaining in regulation.

The Horde, however, were unable to get closer as the Eagles rarely missed from the free throw line in the waning moments of the game.

For the game, Hadley-Luzerne took 22 more foul shots than Granville.

Following the game, players both teams received t-shirts for their participation in the tournament.

Fort Ann defeated Mount Saint Joseph Academy (Vt.) 72-48 in the championship game.

The Cardinals’ Tyler Mattison scored 26 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the game.

He, Pratt, DeMarsh, Fort Ann’s Brandon Nassivera and MSJ’s Baryn Shark were named to the all-tournament team.
