The Horde defeated Albany 60-20, Cairo Durham 55-30 and Cambridge 60-23 and lost to Scotia 42-36 and Catskill 52-30.

Catskill won the duals with a sterling 5-0 record while Granville edged Scotia for second place.

Anthony Arbuckle was named Granville’s most outstanding wrestler after going 4-0 with four pins.

Christian Burnes, Michael Burnes, Daegan Jones, Bailey Daigle and William Duffy all finished with four wins while Zack Haskins, Jordan Smith and Austin Reed finished with wins apiece.

The performance came two days after Granville picked up a 60-29 league win versus Tamarac. Granville won seven by matches by pin and another three by forfeit.

Three of Granville’s pins came in less than a minute. Daigle (170), McKittrick (195) and Hermance (220) needed only 42, 37 and 16 seconds, respectively, to dispatch their opponents.

Others earning pins included Hank Brill (152), Michael Burnes (99), Duffy (120) and Jones (138).

Last Tuesday, Granville traveled to Mill River (Vt.) and wrestled in only six weight classes on their way to a 66-9 non-league victory.

Arbuckle (182) and Hermance (220) each pinned their opponents in less than a minute. Daigle (170) and Duffy (126) also picked up wins for Granville.

Granville (2-2, 10-11) will host Whitehall next Thursday at 6 p.m.
