Whitehall-native Codie Bascue was selected as one of six drivers to represent Team USA at the 2015 World Championships in Winterberg, Germany.
Bascue will team with Aaron Victorian of Laie, Hawaii for the two-man bobsled format. Bascue will also be the driver for a four-man bobsled team, which will include Casey Wickline of Greenville, S.C.; David Cremin of Annandale, Va. and Adrian Adams of Reidsville, N.C.
Bascue and the other pilots were chosen based on their combine test and U.S. National Push Championship results, U.S. National Team Selection finishes, driver input, proven season results, trend of push times and many other factors.
The United States will be looking to follow up on a good performance during the 2014-15 World Cup tour, which saw the team take 53 top-10 finishes, including 15 medals.
World Championships races will take place from Feb. 26 to March 8 and will include all five disciplines, racing in four-heat formats over two days.
