Granville sweeps Greenwich

Granville’s tennis team served Greenwich some home cooking last Friday.

Greenwich scored only three points in the match as Granville picked up its second win in as many matches.

Alexis Smith improved to 2-0 on the season with a 10-1 win over Cody McLucas and Kyle LaPlante and LeAnn Rees also improved to 2-0 on the young season with 10-0 wins over Ben Steltz and Garrett Haynes, respectively.

Eighth grader Drew McEachron picked up his first varsity win with a 10-1 win over Marcus Tucker and Sean Reardon, who was filling in for senior Matt Bixby, earned a 10-1 win over Caleb Brown.
Greenwich forfeited both doubles matches.

Granville is now a perfect 2-0 on the season. The team was scheduled to host North Warren Wednesday, after the paper went to press. It hosts Argyle at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 27.
