Freewheelin’ up next in summer concert series

The four-part classic rock band, Freewheelin’ – formerly known as Airtight – will be next to perform for the Whitehall crowd at the summer concert series.

Freewheelin’ is comprised of Art Schult, Bob Tressler, Paul Finch and Billi Jones. The group focuses predominately on classic rock but performs anything from the 19050s through the present, including some country/pop crossover music.

Art Schult on lead guitar, draws his experience from his time spent working with many different bands in the greater New York City area. He also supplies brilliant lead vocals for the band.

With Bob Tressler on the drums, the band has years of experience, as he has been playing percussion instruments since he heard his first Beatles song. The Long Island native has over 45 years experience on the drums and now resides in Hebron.

Bassist Paul Finch has played for over three decades, with many different classic rock bands. In addition to bass guitar, Finch also backs up Schult on vocals.

Billi Jones plays the keyboard, as well as some lead and backup vocals. Jones draws her influence from the original Woodstock festival and covers the likes of Janis Joplin, Journey, Styx, Carrie Underwood and Adele.

With the band covering everything from the ‘50s through the present, there will truly be something for people of all ages at this show.

This free concert gets underway on Friday, at 7 p.m. at Riverside Veteran’s Memorial Park.

Whitehall’s Concerts in the Park series takes place every Friday until the end of August. Each concert takes place at 7 p.m. at the bandstand in Riverside Veteran’s Memorial Park. Organizers encourage attendees to bring blankets or chairs, because seating in the park is limited.
