T he Whitehall Chamber of Commerce invites all town and village residents and businesses to get out their Christmas lights and get creative for the Annual Holiday Lights Decorating Contest.
The deadline for decorating is Sunday, Dec. 18.
Judges will drive throughout the town and village and cast their votes in each of two categories: Best-Decorated Business and Best-Decorated Residence.
Four prizes will be awarded, with a $100 First Prize and a $50 Second Prize awarded for each category.
Registration is not required. However, those with residences or businesses on the outskirts of Whitehall, or those not easily seen from the road, should notify the Chamber of their participation.
“We will make every attempt to visit every street and road in the town and village,” said Bethe Reynolds, “but we don’t want to miss anyone we might not notice on a country road.”
Winners of the Holiday Lights Decorating Contest will be announced after the New Year.
Participants wishing to notify the Chamber of their participation should send an email to [email protected] or call 518-499-4435 and leave their address and contact information.
