R UTLAND Three plays — “Borderlands” by Mona Z. Smith, “The Day after Labor Day” by Kathy Hooke and “Won’t Happen Again” by Ron Radice, all New England writers, will be given staged readings on Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17 at 7:30 at Paramount Theatre’s Brick Box Theatre. Vermont Actors’ Repertory Theatre presents these writers as the winners of the “Nor’Eastern Playwrights Contest. For details, call 802-773-8038.
