Spud Run

H ARTFORD The 23rd Annual Hartford Stewart’s Spud Run, known as “The Toughest 5K You’ll Ever Love,” will take place on Saturday, October 13 at the Hartford Central School in Hartford, N.Y. The one-mile Fun Run goes off at 9 a.m., followed by the competitive 5K race at 10 a.m. Post-race refreshments include coffee, oranges, Phil’s “Almost Famous Five-Alarm Chili” and Spud Run Birthday Cakelets. The fun run is free. Entry for the 5K is $15 in advance or $20 on the day of the race. Applications are available from Phil at 518-792-3421 or at www.adirondackrunners.org.
