Another site has been proposed for the new town and village offices, but the officials who may make the final decision are not overly eager to pursue it. The latest option was pitched by Dick Emerson, the owner of The Line Townhouses in Whitehall.
The two sides in the Pavilion “should we stay or should we go” issue will hold a public meeting on Monday, March 16 at the site.
A final offer has been made by Fred Troelstra. Troelstra, who is co-owner of Garden Time and the former retail site and Off-Track Betting location on Route 4 in Whitehall presented the town board with three options concerning the property at it’s Dec. 10 meeting.
A first step towards consolidation talks? The town and village of Whitehall have scheduled a meeting for Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss the topic. The meeting will be held at the town recreation center.
