and Keith Lobdell Granville turns table on officer claim After considering a municipal law regarding a bill from Whitehall for police officer training expenses, the Granville Village Board has voted to seek its own claims.
The meeting has yet to happen. Whitehall Mayor Francis “Fra” Putorti and his Granville counterpart, Jay Niles, said in August they planned to meet together sometime after the Labor Day holiday to discuss the situation regarding monies owed to Whitehall.
The village of Whitehall asked nicely, and the answer was “no.” Now, the village will be seeking legal action.
Whitehall Village Mayor Francis “Fra” Putorti will seek out his counterpart from Granville soon to talk money.
The village of Whitehall is within 10-percent of the New York State tax cap for villages.
