Loose ends are being tied up.
That was the goal of the Whitehall town board on Nov. 12 as they passed a new policy on use of town property and personal vehicles and enacted a new reporting system on fuel and equipment used at the town highway garage.

The town of Whitehall may be getting closer to relocating to a permanent setting.
Town supervisor Vernon Scribner said that the matter of moving the town offices from the Pavilion potentially to the former Garden Time store and Off-Track Betting site on County Route 4 will be brought up at the Nov. 12 meeting of the town board.
The town of Whitehall has a new highway superintendent, and will look into the actions of the former.
While several races were not even close, the main event in Whitehall will all come down to the absentee ballots.
The Whitehall town board is not asking highway superintendent Brian Rozell to be at the next meeting on Nov. 6.
They are demanding it.
The Whitehall town board is looking to cut wherever it can.
Board members discussed several cost-cutting measures at the Oct. 20 town budget meeting, including cutting the pay of the town clerk and town highway superintendent.
“If we make the town clerk a part-time salary position, I think that there is a chance for reduction here,” said town councilman David Waters. “The main thing that she does while she is here is sell dump tickets, and she could be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and work from her home the rest of the week.”
