Genevieve M. O’Dell died on Friday, August 22, 2008 at The Orchard in North Granville.
Gen was born on February 13, 1920 in Westville, NY the daughter of John and Ella (Hughes) Fallon.
Gen was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Veronica #289 in which she had various offices. She was also a member of the Washington County Food Service Association on which she had been President. Gen was a 4-H leader for a number of years and was also a member of the Golden Girls.  Gen was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church where she also served for many years as a Eucharistic minister.
Gen married Roger D. O’Dell at St. Mary’s Church in Fort Covington, NY on May 17th, 1941.
She was predeceased by her husband on July 7, 1998 as well as two grandsons, Mark Del Sette and Patrick J. Dwyer. Survivors are her six children. Sharon Del Sette of Granville, NY, Darrah Dwyer and her husband John of Gansevoort, NY, Martha O’Dell of Santa Monica, CA, Michael O’Dell of Queensbury, NY, Patrick O’Dell and his wife Gail of Sandy Hook, CT and Stephen O’Dell and his wife Darlene of Granville, NY. In addition, survivors include thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 23 Bulkley Ave. Granville on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 10 AM with the Rev. Thomas Zelker presiding. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Middle Granville. Friends may call at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St. Granville, NY on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 7-9 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
