Florence E. “Sis” Mulholland, 78, passed away peacefully at her home, in the loving arms of her family, Saturday, June 27.Sis valued her large family more than life itself and viewed the raising of her nine children as her proudest accomplishment. She is survived by all of her children: Sheila Mulholland and her husband, Jonathan Levin-Epstein, of Longmeadow, Mass., Daniela Mulholland of Glens Falls, Leo D.D. Mulholland, Jr. and his wife, Penny, of San Ramon, Calif., Shawn Mulholland, Maureen (Mulholland) Frasier and Maureen’s husband, James, and Timothy Mulholland, all of Whitehall, Pamela (Mulholland) DeGroff and her husband, Thomas, of Queensbury, Karen (Mulholland) Grogan and her husband, D. Shane, of Pensacola, Fla., and Mark Mulholland of Wilton.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sis also valued the companionship of her cat, Sassy.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Leo Mulholland, and her brother, Bernard Wilson.
Sis and Leo owned and operated Skene Manor, a successful fine dining establishment overlooking the village of Whitehall, from 1967 to 1983. Sis served as the restaurant’s chef-operator. Though a mother of nine children is never fully retired, Sis enjoyed traveling to visit family during retirement and playing bingo with friends.
Born in Whitehall on Nov.13, 1930, Sis was the daughter of the late Bernice and William Wilson.
She was a 60-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a longtime member of the Columbiettes and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Calling hours were held at the Jillson Funeral Home, 46 Williams St., Whitehall.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, June 30, at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church on Skene Street in Whitehall with the Rev. Michael Flannery, pastor, officiating.

Interment was at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, County Route 18, in Whitehall.
Immediately following burial, a reception was held at the B.P.O. Elks, 5 Elks Way, Whitehall.
