T he night air is getting chillier and Halloween is just around the corner, which means it’s time for the Pember Library and Museum and the Slate Valley Museum’s annual Halloween-themed First Friday events.

The museums are teaming up again to host their Fifth Annual Halloween Party and Zombie Walk on Oct. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m.

The ghoulish fun starts at the Pember, where mayhem will prevail from 7 to 8 p.m., with ghouls overrunning the building, dancing to live music and enjoying zombie cuisine including “finger” sandwiches, jelly eyeballs, bloody punch, and other delicacies of the undead.

Make-up stations will be available to help everyone look their worst.
